These images are from  my trip to Colombia this summer. As you can imagine, going from a small city in New Jersey to the epic landscapes of the Andes Mountains -- a young man is justly left in a of state awe. Though it wasn't the first time traveling to my "homeland", it was certainly the first time I really opened my eyes ( well, the last time I went I left my glasses at the airport. Ha!). I was consumed, and humbled, by the massive mountains and amazed by the never-ending terra cotta and green. Photographically, I wanted to capture the volume of the Colombian landscape without juxtaposing a person in for scale.  I just wanted it to be Earth; no humans, no animals.

I took these images on my family's ranch in Colombia. It's a full-blown organic cattle farm. If you want to talk about/see happy cows, come here. Not to mention the beauty of the setting -- endless green hills, snow covered mountains in the distance juxtaposed with surrounding tropical flowers and trees. It's unreal. Hopefully, I will be going back this summer; for now, nostalgia.
