These images are from my trip to Colombia this summer. As you can imagine, going from a small city in New Jersey to the epic landscapes of the Andes Mountains -- a young man is justly left in a of state awe. Though it wasn't the first time traveling to my "homeland", it was certainly the first time I really opened my eyes ( well, the last time I went I left my glasses at the airport. Ha!). I was consumed, and humbled, by the massive mountains and amazed by the never-ending terra cotta and green. Photographically, I wanted to capture the volume of the Colombian landscape without juxtaposing a person in for scale. I just wanted it to be Earth; no humans, no animals. |
