AUTO-PRESERVATION

For a number of months I have been in a removed state after a number of personal traumatic experiences. Commonplace or profound as they may be, I've discovered preferences, tastes and aesthetics that, previously, would have scoffed at.  I withdrew my organism from damaged situations and delved into new, vulnerable positions with the deliberate intention of deconstructing, re-building, and fortifying my internal and external perceptions. These images are mundane moments of my self-imposed solitude.

I found a roll of film under my bed of old pics from when I used to intern at V Magazine from their Halloween party two years ago. 

I was in California for winter break with my cousin, Zulay, for a week. We took a 'break' from chic dinners, hiking, auditions, and the like to take a short trip to Malibu beach for a sunset picnic. But of course, being fabulous Colombians, we decided a mini-shoot was far more appropriate.
